The coin depicts Archangel Michael, who is referred to in Scripture as "the prince", "the leader of the Lord's army", and the main fighter against the evil existing in the world. Hence his ecclesiastical name — Archistrategos, that is, the senior warrior, the leader, the commander. Michael is placed above all the heavenly ranks, and his name in Hebrew means "who is like God" or "who is equal to God". He and his army won the battle against Lucifer and his demons (fallen angels), who were "cast down into hell, into the depths of hell". This battle between good and evil continues to this day on Earth, with all people as participants. Archangel Michael possesses incredible power. He distinctly symbolises masculine energy. The colour of Archangel Michael is bright red. He is a warrior, a protector. He is also a zealous guardian of divine order, he is infinitely just, loving, and kind. Michael is the patron saint of the military and police forces.
