The medal is dedicated to the sergeant and non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who have proven their effectiveness and importance during the Russian-Ukrainian war, which has been ongoing since 2014, and were and are one of the factors in the successful 
actions of the Ukrainian army to repel the occupation forces of the Russian Federation from the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022 to the present, commemorating their feat and heroism.
