Perun is the highest in the pantheon of gods of ancient Rus'. He is the god of thunder and lightning, who protects the world from evil and who is always on the side of light and justice. He supported those who fought for a just cause. Perun`s companion and helper is the eagle. While in the plant kingdom, his symbol is the oak tree. Perun could bestow such qualities as honour, loyalty, dignity, courage, fortitude, determination and commitment. One should only choose one of these attributes as a talisman and get the support of the Slavic thunder-bearing god.
