09.07.2021

Maksym Tsymbal, Deputy Chairman of the Pivdenny Joint-Stock Bank Management Board, joined the Board of the Ukrainian Interbank Association of EMA Payment Systems’ Members. This will allow the bank to participate in making decisions that directly affect the development of the cashless economy.

Membership in the Association Board will also make it possible to develop initiatives related to open banking implementation and actively participate in the development of initiatives related to the cybersecurity of bank customers during transactions via payment instruments.

The EMA Association aims to make the use of non-cash payment instruments and technologies in payments and lending in Ukraine an integral part of the financial culture, and as convenient and familiar as in the G-7 and EU countries.

Together with market regulators, the association created the legislative and regulatory framework as well as the national payment programme, which enables association members – banks and companies – to develop a secure infrastructure for issuing and servicing payment instruments and services and increase their business profitability, so that payment service consumers can easily and happily use payment instruments and services in Ukraine and abroad.
