Pivdenny Bank expert indicates what to expect from the hryvnia within the next two weeks

We see objective reasons for the strengthening of the hryvnia – first and foremost, the payment of quarterly taxes, which will last until 20 November 2020. This is how Oleh Ropyak, Head of the Dealing Operations Department at Pivdenny Bank commented on the Interfax-Ukraine news.

“By this date, the dollar will reach a local low. It may be UAH 28.00 per USD 1; possibly in the range of UAH 27.80-28.00 per USD 1. It all depends on the aggressiveness of the regulator in buying the dollar,” Oleh Ropyak said.

According to the expert, the dollar may show an upward correction after 20 November:

“The purpose of the correction will most likely be the mark of UAH 28.50 per USD 1,” he summarised.
