Pivdenny Bank specialists participate in the public defence of master's theses of future bankers

On 8 December 2020, Oksana Azarova, Director of the Risk Management Department at Pivdenny Bank, and Victoria Skoch, Risk Director at Pivdenny Bank, participated in the public defence of research studies of graduates of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics majoring in finance, banking, and insurance. 

The defence of the graduation theses of six students was held online under the auspices of the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine. This practice of defence at the Department of Banking is applied on a regular basis.

“I participated in the defence of theses of students from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics for the first time, and I was interested to see the level of training of young professionals – future bank employees. Impressions from the defence were good because the level of preparation of graduates is very high. The banking sector is constantly evolving, so I want to wish everyone who plans to connect their lives with it to be ready to constantly improve and continue to learn,” said Victoria Skoch, Risk Director at Pivdenny Bank.

In their theses, students studied the problems of assessing the stability of the banking system and the adequacy of its capital to cover banking risks, crisis management, early diagnosis of bank insolvency, management of non-performing loans, reputation risk diagnosis and information support of bank valuation.

“This is not the first time I have participated in public defence of graduation theses, but every time I am pleasantly surprised by the depth of immersion in the topic, work with documents and their application in practice. This time I would like to note a fairly high level of theoretical work on the part of students and the fact that all the presented theses have practical applications. Therefore, I wish the graduates success in staying strong in the pursuit of their goals,” said Oksana Azarova, Director of the Risk Management Department at Pivdenny Bank.
