Credit Risks: Workshop at Academic Hub Pivdenny-Банк Пивденный

On October 22, the fourth workshop within the course “Managerial Thinking: Modern Approaches and Practices” was held for students of the Faculty of Economics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The session focused on the topic of credit risks.

The speaker was Andrii Rudyi, Deputy Head of the Credit Risk Management Department at Pivdenny Bank.

During the workshop, the participants discussed:

  • Credit risks as a filter for bank clients at the onboarding stage and as part of ongoing monitoring.
  • Risk structure, client analysis, and the long-term analysis of the bank’s portfolio.
  • Types of risks and how the bank protects itself from them.

“The audience became engaged from the very first slides of the presentation. There were many questions – students were particularly interested in how the bank assesses legal entities and monitors clients throughout the lifecycle of their loans. Next week, during the seminar, we will review students’ homework assignment – they need to develop and describe a stress scenario for the bank. This was my second workshop, so I already knew what to expect, travelled there in a positive mood, and everything fully met my expectations,” shared Andrii Rudyi.
