Macroeconomic Analysis for Business and Life Decisions: Second Workshop at Academic Hub Pivdenny

On 19 March 2025, the second workshop of the spring semester of the course "Managerial Thinking: Modern Approaches and Practices" took place at Academic Hub Pivdenny for students of the Faculty of Economics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Kostiantyn Khvedchuk, Head of the Strategic Analysis Department at Pivdenny Bank, shared practical knowledge about macroeconomics with the audience.
The discussion focused on the impact of economic processes on business, the financial sector, and daily life. Together with the speaker, students examined key macroeconomic indicators, their dynamics, and their significance for different economic agents. Topics covered included macroeconomic trends, central bank decision-making mechanisms, foreign exchange market operations, and methods for analysing economic data to support effective decision-making.
Throughout the workshop, students raised numerous questions, including those on unconventional central bank instruments, common macroeconomic analysis mistakes, exchange rate regimes, and managing currency risks in banking.
"I already knew I would be meeting an engaged and intelligent audience, so I was prepared for productive discussions. It’s great to see students not only listening but actively participating in discussions, providing interesting responses and insights," shared Kostiantyn Khvedchuk.
