Pivdenny Bank Among Ukraine’s Top Business Investors in Education
Pivdenny Bank has been recognised as one of the top 100 largest business investors in education by Delo.ua and the Kyiv School of Economics.
The ranking highlights leading companies operating in Ukraine that have launched the most important and impactful systematic projects in the education sector and invest heavily in education. These include individual scholarships, corporate training programmes, sponsorship of educational institutions, partnerships with universities and vocational schools, employee upskilling initiatives, etc.
For its support of children through educational grants and the certified university course “Managerial Thinking: Modern Approaches and Practices”, Pivdenny Bank was honoured with the title of “Provider of Economic Education”.
Between 2022 and 2025, the bank invested UAH 20 million in educational initiatives. Key projects include:
- Academic Hub Pivdenny – the bank’s flagship corporate social responsibility project, implemented at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Its mission is to support the development of state higher economic education, showcase real business practices, and create conditions that encourage students to live and work in Ukraine. The bank established a modern, energy-efficient educational space in the university, consisting of two classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards, projectors, and internet access – facilitating both online and offline learning. Bank experts also developed a certified course for economics students titled “Managerial Thinking: Modern Approaches and Practices”. Top-performing students each semester receive a scholarship of UAH 3,000 (pre-tax) from Pivdenny Bank.
- The bank awarded 30 educational grants to beneficiaries of the Children of Heroes charitable foundation. With this support, 30 children received access to year-long classes in mathematics, Ukrainian and English languages, programming, and career guidance, along with laptops for their studies.
- Additionally, the bank continuously invests in staff development by combining external training with in-house educational programmes. In-house training covers professional skill-building, the development of a modern service culture, and leadership and management development. The bank’s training initiatives help cultivate internal talent and build a strong internal succession pipeline.
