Pivdenny is recognized as a systemically important bank of Ukraine for the seventh time
Pivdenny Bank has been recognized as a systemically important bank of Ukraine for the seventh consecutive year. This is evidenced by the updated list published by the National Bank of Ukraine based on the results of the annual review of banks’ performance indicators.
According to the decision of the NBU Board of 17 June 2025, the status of systemic importance was confirmed for 16 banks.
A systemically important bank is one the activities of which have a significant impact on the stability of the country’s banking system. These financial institutions are subject to increased requirements designed to ensure greater stability. Pivdenny Bank has been in this category since 2019.
For Pivdenny, confirmation of the status of systemically important for seven consecutive years is not only a recognition of the bank’s market share, but also a marker of trust, stability and role in supporting the country’s financial system. The bank consistently confirms its responsible role and ability to work in conditions of high demands and challenges.
Let us remind you that at the end of 2024, Pivdenny Bank achieved a record net profit of UAH 1,677 million. Thanks to active lending, the bank took the ninth place in the ranking of the largest banks-creditors of businesses. At the same time, effective asset quality management contributed to the reduction of the level of non-performing loans of businesses to 4.7% – one of the lowest on the market. During 2024, hryvnia deposits from individuals increased by 22%, which significantly exceeded the average growth rate in the banking sector.
