The Best Ukrainian Feature Documentary Wins an Award from Pivdenny Bank

Pivdenny Bank has presented a monetary award – a certificate for UAH 75,000 – to the film A Simple Soldier, which won in the nomination The Best Ukrainian Feature Documentary at the 16th Odesa International Film Festival.

The film by Artem Ryzhykov and Juan Camilo Cruz tells the story of a Ukrainian filmmaker who, after the start of a full-scale war, takes up both a weapon and a camera, documenting events from the frontline.

Director Artem Ryzhykov noted that the prize money will be used to support the combat unit Vyrii – to purchase drones for Ukraine’s defense.
