Changes in limits of payment card transactions abroad

On 21 July 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine changed the limits of payment card transactions abroad.

So, effective 21 July:

• citizens will still be able to withdraw UAH 50 thousand (in equivalent) per month from UAH payment cards abroad. At the same time, the limit for cash withdrawals from UAH payment cards abroad was changed from monthly to weekly: UAH 12.5 thousand (in equivalent) for seven calendar days;
• a monthly limit was established for payments abroad using UAH payment cards in the amount of UAH 100 thousand (in equivalent) from all client accounts opened with the bank in the national currency.  

The above changes were made by the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 154 dated 21 July 2022 “On Amending the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 18 dated 24 February 2022”, which entered into force on 21 July 2022.
