Safe use of MyBank

  1. To access the Pivdenny MyBank web version, you must use a personal computer (hereinafter PC) or another device (mobile device) that provides access to the Internet and on which is installed:
    • an operating system (for example, Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android) with the latest updates;
    • the latest available version of the web browser (for example, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari);
    • licensed antivirus software (for example, ESET NOD32, Avast Antivirus, Dr. Web, etc.) with the latest virus signature database updates;
    • anti-spyware and firewall programs (for example, Norton Internet Security, McAfee Internet Security, etc.) with the latest updates.

    To access a mobile application from a mobile device, make sure that the software is installed exclusively from the official application store (Google Play, AppStore).

  2. We recommend that you regularly (at least once a week) perform a full scan of your personal computer (other device) to detect viruses and malware.
  3. We do not recommend installing software and applications from untrusted sources (public software libraries, email programs, etc.) on a personal computer or mobile device.
  4. Keep your login details (login and password) secret and your mobile phone (SIM card with your mobile phone number) secure at all times.

    When using authorisation data, we recommend:

    • storing your login and password separately, or even better memorising them;
    • checking your bank server security certificate before changing your password.
  5. The password must be unique (different from other passwords used in different accounts (such as a mailbox) or other banking systems, with only Latin letters, numbers and valid characters: ! @ # $% * () _ - + = |. All other characters, white spaces, and non-Latin characters are invalid. The login and password should not contain words or names associated with the user (name, surname, spouse, children, etc.), repeated character sequences (such as "access"), obvious sequences, and patterns created by characters typed on keyboard keys (such as qwert or zxcvb). The password must be at least 6 characters in length and complex, containing both uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. The new password must not repeat any of the three previous passwords.
  6. When using the web version of the system, you need to:
    • connect to the system only from trusted PCs or other devices, avoid connections from public places (cafés, hotels, libraries, etc.);
    • make sure when logging in that the address field of the web browser is the address of the Pivdenny MyBank system;
    • check the credibility of the certificate provider, its validity and expiry date. Confirmation that a secure connection is established between the client's web browser and the bank's web server is the presence of a digital (electronic) bank certificate;
    • do not leave your personal computer (or another device accessed by the system) unattended;
    • end the current session (that is, quit the system) by clicking the Logout button and closing the web browser window;
    • if you log in from public places, clear your browser's clipboard and delete temporary files and cookies before closing your browser window;
    • do not browse other sites using the same browser when you are running the system;
    • monitor the length of a web session (inactivity following log in), which should be limited to 10 minutes for security purposes;
    • use system links and buttons exclusively to navigate the system and do not use the browser's navigation buttons (for example, Forward/Backward);
    • pay attention to browser or antivirus messages about possible risks.
  7. When using the Pivdenny MyBank system, it is prohibited to:
    • go to the system's homepage via banner or email links
    • install applications from any source other than the official Google Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS
    • respond to requests (most often emailed) that require you to provide or verify your login, password, and/or other authorisation data.
  8. Under no circumstances will the bank:
    • send emails requiring you to sign up for a login password, login and/or other authorisation data and/or request that you not use the specified Pivdenny MyBank login address or download the mobile application for installation;
    • distribute computer applications or mobile applications by email.
  9. We recommend deleting suspicious emails without opening them, especially emails from unknown senders with attachments that have *.exe, *.pif, *.vbs extensions, etc.
  10. If you find any malware (viruses, trojans, etc.) on your workstation (PC or other device), you must log in to the Pivdenny MyBank system from a non-infected device and change the system password.
  11. In the case of unauthorised access to the Pivdenny MyBank system, you must change the login password immediately and contact the help centre at 0800 30 70 30 to block further access. We also recommend scanning your workstation for viruses and other malicious software.

The bank is not allowed to require customers to purchase any goods or services from the bank or its affiliates or partners as a mandatory condition for the provision of these services (except for the banking package).
