Pivdenny Bank starts a spring term at Academic Hub Pivdenny with cases from the Ukraine’s largest banks-Банк Пивденный

A spring term is to commence at Academic Hub Pivdenny for students of the Faculty of Economics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and a corresponding announcement was made on 11 March by Pivdenny Bank officers.

This time, students are to immerse themselves in practical cases of the Ukraine’s largest banks partnering with Pivdenny.

As part of the exclusive module “How does Ukrainian business finance its development?”, students will have the opportunity to listen to five lectures, where the speakers will be CEOs and CFOs of leading companies in the largest sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

The opening lecture was conducted by Andrii Bukin, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pivdenny Bank, who told students about how the banking sector works, how banks ended 2025, which state-owned, foreign, and Ukrainian banks demonstrated the leading growth dynamics, and also announced the lecturers for the spring term.

“For this season, we have invited really cool speakers. These are our clients, to whom Pivdenny provides funding for the development and support of projects and with whom it cooperates within the framework of other banking products. These are leaders in their industries who will be able to share practical cases with you. This will be valuable information for future young professionals about how Ukrainian business works from the inside and how it overcomes today's challenges,” emphasised Andrii Bukin.

Vitalii Hahauz, Mentor of Academic Hub Pivdenny Project, summarised the outcomes of the past terms and awarded the most proactive students.

Pivdenny allocated more than UAH 800,000 as scholarships to 45 students for their proactive work at the autumn workshops. During the event, the Bank officers presented the students with certificates and bank cards with scholarships.

“The past season at Academic Hub Pivdenny was quite eventful. Together we attended the largest business conferences, worked at workshops, and had an interesting and informative meeting with Alla Vanetsiants, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pivdenny Bank. First of all, I am grateful to the students who were proactive, completed their homework, and wrote excellent essays. Your activity is your opportunity for future employment. Two students have already joined the Pivdenny team based on the results of previous terms,” added Vitalii Hahauz.

“It's exciting to work for Pivdenny Bank. Every day I learn a lot of new things. The Bank has a great team, colleagues are happy to share their experience and explain all banking processes in detail,” shared his impressions Nikita Tisheninov, a senior student already working for Pivdenny.

In addition, at the meeting, Andrii Bukin and Vitalii Hahauz presented the university representatives with a certificate for UAH 105,000 for the purchase of energy equipment.

“I am extremely grateful to Pivdenny for their support. This is not the first investment by the Bank aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the university in conditions of constant outages. With the money that the bank allocated to us today, we plan to install additional equipment that will provide constant Internet connection,” thanked Anzhela Ihnatiuk, Dean of the Faculty of Economics.

Please note that Academic Hub Pivdenny is one of the Bank’s largest corporate social responsibility projects. Its mission is to promote the development of state higher economic education, show how real business works, and create conditions for students to stay and work in Ukraine.
