Pivdenny Bank and NBU meet with representatives of the business community of the Kherson region


On 21 November, a meeting of business representatives with top managers of the National Bank of Ukraine took place in Kherson within the framework of the NBU Information Days Programme in the region’s "Economic Express".

Pivdenny Bank co-sponsored the event, which invited more than 30 bank clients to discuss the latest trends in the Ukrainian economy and banking sector.

NBU Deputy Chairman Serhiy Kholod told participants about the current state of the economy and banking sector and outlined the NBU's forecasts regarding the further development of payment technologies.

A speech titled "Key Innovations of the New Currency Regulation” by senior economist of the Open Market Department of the National Bank of Ukraine Olena Poddubnyak was devoted to the new liberal model of currency regulation and changes in the Law on Currency and Currency Transactions. She also noted that the abolition of many currency restrictions has greatly simplified business.

NBU experts answered questions from participants and commented on a number of important topics for clients, including: easing of loans, the possibility of early financing, prospects for mortgage recovery, further reform of the financial market and strategic goals for the coming years.

This is the second meeting with business representatives held with the support of Pivdenny Bank. Meetings are intended to inform the business community about the latest decisions of the regulatory institution regarding business development and to create an effective dialogue between the NBU and the business community.
