"Pivdenny" Bank team has raised almost UAH 100,000 to build a bomb shelter for a kindergarten in Odesa. This happened during a charity radio marathon dedicated to the Bank's 30th anniversary on the wave Pivdenny FM, which brought together colleagues from all over Ukraine. The Bank multiplied the funds raised by the symbolic number "30". The three million hryvnias raised will be enough to build the shelter.

Before the war, about a hundred children attended kindergarten No. 10. Today, like 62 of the city's 136 kindergartens, it is closed due to a lack of shelter – in case of an alarm, children simply have nowhere to hide. For working parents, this situation is a big problem, as all open kindergartens in the city are overcrowded. The three million hryvnias raised by the employees together with the Bank will allow to build a full-fledged bomb shelter and open the kindergarten. The Bank has already ordered a design for the shelter, which will comfortably accommodate the children and the kindergarten staff. Construction will start in the near future.

"Many of the Bank's employees have small children, so the initiative to raise funds for the shelter was very much appreciated by everyone. The Bank encourages social responsibility projects, and we have identified support for education as a key area. Therefore, instead of celebrating the Bank's 30th anniversary, we launched a series of charity projects. In addition to the joint fundraising for the construction of a shelter in the kindergarten, our Bank allocated another three million for educational grants to the children of heroes who lost their parents due to the war. And we will all celebrate the anniversary together after the victory," said Alla Vanetsiants, Chairman of the Management Board of "Pivdenny" Bank.

For a year and a half, the Bank has been a partner of the "Children of Heroes Foundation", which provides long-term financial, psychological and humanitarian support to children who lost their parents during the war. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, "Pivdenny" provided 30 grants for children's education worth UAH 3 million. In addition, in 2023, "Pivdenny" Bank and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv began long-term cooperation for the sustainable development of education during the war. The first step of this programme will be a series of lectures by the Bank's team on the practical side of the subjects that students study during the academic semester. The next stage is the launch of an energy-independent academic hub on the territory of the Economic Faculty of the Kyiv National University.

As a reminder, "Pivdenny" Bank is one of the leaders in the Ukrainian financial market, ranking third in the group of Ukrainian banks with private capital in terms of assets. For the fifth year in a row, the Bank has been included in the category of systemically important banks. The Bank also became one of the best employers in the banking industry according to the results of the EY (Ernst & Young) survey among students and professionals with work experience. The Bank is represented in 18 regions of Ukraine, with a regional network of 49 branches.
