Pivdenny and U+ System to join efforts in support of male and female veterans

Pivdenny Bank and U+ System Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on long-term cooperation in the field of rehabilitation and support of male and female veterans. This partnership presupposes implementation of joint charitable projects in the fields of physical and psychological rehabilitation, social adaptation, training, and development of adaptive sports.

Among the first joint projects to be organised will be Pivdenny Set, i.e. a series of adaptive tennis tournaments for male and female veterans. The project includes four qualifying tournaments in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv and then the Grand Final in Odesa. Total budget is UAH 2.5 million.

"Veteran support is not just a one-time event for us but a systematic work aimed at creating opportunities for them to return to active life and to achieve physical and mental recovery. That is why we support projects that combine rehabilitation, adaptive sports, and social integration," said Alla Vanetsiants, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pivdenny Bank.

The U+ System team emphasises that it is crucial to develop partnership between business and the public sector as today it is one of the key factors in effectively supporting veterans and people affected by war. Joint initiatives make support more accessible and build sustainable recovery programmes.

Pivdenny Bank and U+ System’s partnership is yet another step towards developing systemic support for veterans and their families as well as in creating a barrier-free and inclusive environment in Ukraine.
