Pivdenny Joint-Stock Bank recognised as a systemically important bank for the third time

05.03.2021

For the third year running, Pivdenny Joint-Stock Bank has been named one of the systemically important banks of Ukraine.

This is proved by the updated list of systemically important banks published by the NBU.

In total, 13 systemically important banks were identified in a decision of the NBU Board dated 26 February 2021.

A systemically important bank is a bank that occupies a significant share in the banking market. For systemically important banks, higher standards are in effect to ensure their higher stability. Pivdenny Bank has fallen into this category since 2019.

As of the end of 2020, Pivdenny Bank complies with all economic standards of the NBU with a sufficient margin. One of the most important indicators of the bank’s reliability – the capital adequacy ratio (H2) – reached 14.9 % as of 01.01.2021. This rate characterises the bank’s ability to offset possible financial losses at its own expense. Its minimum value set by the regulator is 10 %.
