Pivdenny Bank’s project wins the Responsible Country 4.0 competition

Pivdenny Bank’s project to support children affected by the war has become one of the winners of the Responsible Country 4.0 social initiatives competition in the Psychological Support and Mental Health category.

The winners in this category include projects aimed at supporting the mental health of Ukrainians during the war, such as Pivdenny Bank’s initiative to assist the Kinder Velt children’s rehabilitation center.

Supporting children and youth is one of the key areas of Pivdenny Bank’s corporate social responsibility. In 2025, this focus was expanded to include systematic assistance in the psychological recovery of children living in war conditions.

It was then that the bank began its cooperation with the Kinder Velt center, which provides free psychological assistance to children and their families. The centers operate in several Ukrainian cities, and over time, the team has helped thousands of children and families restore their emotional well-being and a sense of security.

In their work with children, specialists use modern techniques, including art therapy, fairy-tale therapy, and body-oriented practices. One of the key tools is the Rafa the Giraffe method, which helps children process their fears through play, learn to recognize emotions, and gradually restore their inner balance.

For Pivdenny Bank, this project is part of a long-term strategy to support children and youth, covering education, sports, and psycho-emotional well-being.

Recognition in the Responsible Country 4.0 competition confirms that the bank’s systematic social initiatives have a real impact and are a vital component of community support today.

Pivdenny plans to expand its cooperation with similar initiatives so that even more Ukrainian children can receive the necessary support. After all, even in times of war, childhood must remain childhood - with the right to safety, care, and a future.

The Responsible Country competition has been organized since 2023 by MMR with the support of Delo.ua. Today, this contest serves as a platform for businesses that are shaping new standards of responsibility in Ukraine. This year, Responsible Country brought together over 70 social initiatives from Ukrainian businesses, which were evaluated based on their results and social impact.
