E&S Risk Assessment
Requirements and procedure for assessing environmental and social (E&S) risks for agribusiness within the framework of the "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" programme.
The Bank's financing of credit projects within the framework of the "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" programme (regarding clients whose main activity (main NACE code) is in agriculture under all NACE Section A codes and the following processing NACE codes: 10.51, 10.61, 10.71 of the National Classification of Ukraine) is based on the following components:
- the inadmissibility of financing economic activities included in the Exclusion List;
- Ithe inadmissibility of financing any type of Prohibited Activities;
- mandatory implementation of a comprehensive environmental and social project assessment procedure (the Bank's authorised body makes the financing decision based on the results of the environmental and social assessment);
- exclusion of financing for projects with a "HIGH" level of environmental and social risk.
